C0 DWR Bonding 28N-45N+, Redefining Eco-Bonding Performance: Banbanson® at TITAS Taipei & PERFORMANCE DAYS Munich 2026
Updated: 5 hours ago
The energy across TITAS Taipei and PERFORMANCE DAYS Munich 2026 was a powerful reminder of why we innovate. As the outdoor and activewear industries complete the transition toward fluorocarbon-free water repellency (C0 DWR / PFAS-free), product managers and designers are facing a shared challenge: How do you achieve long-lasting seam bonding on surface-treated, non-wetting textiles without compromising performance?
At PERFORMANCE DAYS Munich 2026, we were truly honored to have our 100% Bio-Based SEWLESS™ technology selected for the Innovation Zone. As part of the official Garment Tech Forum presentation in Hall 1, the feature display highlighted Banbanson® complete bonding architecture—showcasing both the fully assembled seamless garment and its individual bonding components. Having the entire system—from cut-part swatches to the final finished piece—placed in such a high-visibility, interactive area allowed brand developers, material directors, and judges to examine the bond lines, tactile flexibility, and seam integration up close.
At Banbanson®, our core objective for this exhibition season was simple—to demonstrate that choosing responsible chemistry does not mean
compromising on bond strength / product longevity.
Driven by Responsibility: The 4 Bonding Challenges We Overcame
When transition to PFAS-free chemistry began, conventional hot-melt adhesives struggled to maintain adhesion, color stability, and environmental compliance simultaneously. At Banbanson®, we treated these industry friction points as explicit R&D targets:
1. Challenging Phenol-Free High Adhesion (HQV1 Series)
Achieving high peel strength traditionally relied on hazardous chemical boosters. We eliminated phenol entirely from our bonding chemistry without compromising adhesive strength, delivering an RSL-compliant, skin-friendly solution for performance wear.
2. Challenging Anti-UV Performance on Light-Colored C0 DWR Fabrics (BUV-F Series)
Light-colored, high-visibility, and pastel functional fabrics are notoriously prone to thermal and UV yellowing at seam lines. Our modified formulations incorporate specialized non-yellowing UV inhibitors, keeping pale textiles pristine throughout their product lifecycle.
3. Challenging C0 DWR Delamination
The non-wetting, low-surface-energy nature of C0 DWR finishes is the primary cause of seam failure during laundering. We re-engineered our adhesive wetting dynamics to deeply lock into water-repellent yarn bundles, eliminating the root cause of delamination.
4. Challenging the Bio-Based Golden Balance (ULTRAGRIP Series)
Bio-based materials often face a trade-off between plant-derived content and physical durability. We established the optimal balance—achieving up to 28 N / 2.5 cm verified peel strength directly on C0 DWR fabrics with Bio-Based formulations, proving that renewable sourcing can meet rigorous functional standards.
C0 DWR Bonding as Banbanson® core theme 2026

Banbanson® R&D team spent recent months modifying primary adhesive chemistry specifically tailored for low-surface-energy C0 DWR textiles. During PERFORMANCE DAYS, our team was honored to have our 100% Bio-Based SEWLESS™ garment cutout selected and showcased at the official Garment Tech Forum. Visitors were able to inspect the seam construction up close, examine the bond line, and feel the tactile flexibility firsthand.

Garment Tech Forum Display Spec: The seamless garment sample exhibited on the floor achieved an verified peel strength of ~28 N / 2.5 cm directly on challenging C0 DWR finished recycled textiles. (We formulate differently for both nylon rPA and polyester rPET)
Lab-Tested Upper Limits: In controlled laboratory conditions for C0 DWR Bonding, optimized configurations within our latest BUV-F series reach up to 45+ N / 2.5 cm, maintaining structural integrity even after 30 industrial/home wash cycles at 45°C.
Anti-Yellowing (BUV-F Series): Formulated with non-yellowing UV inhibitors to ensure light-colored, high-visibility, or pastel technical fabrics maintain color fidelity over prolonged exposure.
Phenol-Free (HQV1 Series): Fully compliant with stringent global brand restricted substance lists (RSL), proving that high-peel strength adhesives can remain safe, non-toxic, and skin-friendly.

Real Feedback from the Show Floor
One of the most rewarding aspects of both exhibitions was seeing booth visitors interact with our physical stretch and peel samples.
Throughout the event, brand developers, material managers, and technical designers who had evaluated the garments at the Garment Tech Forum stopped by the Banbanson® booth to test sample swatches themselves. Hands-on testing of our high-tenacity tension recovery naturally opened up honest, technical exchanges about upcoming collection requirements, factory trial parameter settings, and heat-press temperature windows.
Having our Paris team member present alongside our Asia technical manager made cross-border discussions seamless, allowing us to align both European design aesthetics and supply chain execution on the spot.

Sustaining the Momentum in Sustainable Apparel
Whether you were exploring our Bio-Based ULTRAGRIP series / BUV-F Anti-yellowing (ANTI-UV) series, discussing light fabric anti-yellowing solutions, or dropping by as a textile student curious about the future of functional bonding, thank you for engaging with us at TITAS and PERFORMANCE DAYS 2026!
As textile regulations evolve, Banbanson® remains committed to supporting brands with verified lab data, hands-on application support, and responsible bonding solutions that perform in real-world conditions.

Technical Inquiries & Sample Requests
If you were unable to visit our booth or need sample swatches for internal testing on your specific C0 DWR fabrics, please reach out to our technical team via our contact portal or connect with us directly.
Bridging Lab to Mass Production: Partnering with Banbanson®
Achieving 45N+ peel strength on non-wetting C0 DWR textiles in a controlled laboratory is only half the equation. The true challenge lies in replicating those consistently across high-volume assembly lines without compromising fabric hand-feel, stretch recovery, or thermal integrity.
At Banbanson®, we deliver complete seam-bonding architecture tailored to your specific textile chemistry—whether working with recycled polyester (rPET) or lightweight recycled nylon (rPA) or bio-based materials, ( or lately we formulate successfully to conquered PMMA Surface textile)
Accelerate Your C0 DWR Bonding Validation
To help technical product teams eliminate delamination risks during early-stage development, we offer standard testing and co-development protocols:
Custom Substrate Testing: Send us your targeted C0 DWR/PFAS-free fabrics for independent lab bonding, peel strength testing, and wash-durability reporting (ISO / AATCC standard wash protocols).
Application operate Parameter : Receive precise heat-pressing profiles (Time, Temperature, Pressure) optimized for your factory's production machinery to prevent strike-through or yellowing.
Banbanson® Sample Swatch Kits: Request our technical trial packs, including our Bio-Based ULTRAGRIP, Phenol-Free HQV1, and BUV-F Anti-Yellowing adhesive films.
