Facing delamination on new Gore-Tex ePE or PFAS-free membranes?
Learn why C0 DWR causes adhesion issues and how BeyondSeams™ technology delivers instant supply chain rescue for ski, marine, and techwear brands.

Why Gore-Tex ePE is "Disrupting" Production Lines?
The transition is no longer theoretical. From From global mountaineering leaders to urban techwear innovators, such as Arc'teryx’s Beta Jacket to Patagonia’s Storm10, the industry’s heavyweights have shifted to Gore-Tex ePE (expanded Polyethylene).
This move to PFAS-Free membranes is a win for the planet, but it has triggered a silent crisis on the factory floor: Seam Tape Delamination.
The Science of Failure: The Surface Energy
The Substrate: PE (Polyethylene) is inherently non-polar and "waxy". It resists chemical bonding.
The Coating: To comply with regulations, these fabrics are treated with C0 DWR (Carbon-Zero Durable Water Repellent).
Therefore A "double-slippery" surface with critically low surface energy (<25 mN/m). Traditional hot melt adhesives simply cannot "wet out" fast enough to grip the fibers before cooling.
BeyondSeams™
The Gore-Tex ePE Supply Chain Rescue
We are currently deploying our BeyondSeams™ High-Polymer Adhesive Solution to rescue/help out production lines where nominated suppliers have unfortunately failed. Unlike standard TPU, our High-Polarity PU Formulation modified architecture is engineered to mirror the molecular structure of ePE, with Deep-Penetration Tech.
BeyondSeams™ High-Performance Adhesive utilizes a Hyper-Wetting Formulation.
Chemical Compatibility: It bonds with the PE membrane, not just on it.
C0 Penetration: Our proprietary flow-enhancers drive the adhesive through the C0 barrier, locking into the yarn structure for 20N+ Peel Strength.
Where is ePE Being Used? (Are You at Risk?)
If you are manufacturing in these categories, you need to audit your bonding reliability immediately:
High-Altitude Alpine Gear: Where failure means freezing. Delamination here is a safety hazard.
Urban Techwear
Marine & Sailing Gear: Saltwater + C0 DWR is the ultimate stress test for any adhesive.
Snowsports (Ski/Snowboard): The constant freeze-thaw cycle puts immense stress on seam elasticity.
Don't Risk a Recall.
Verify Your Bond.
Switching to ePE , FPAS-FREE or C0 DWR without adjusting your adhesive strategy is a gamble.
We offer a Pro Compatibility Test at our HK/CN labs. Send us your swatch.
BeyondSeams™ technology will turn a potential recall into a product breakthrough.
